Summary

We are seeking a creative and innovative Research Scientist with a passion for developing biological assays and working collaboratively. This person will have an opportunity to drive innovation and contribute to the refinement and expansion of a revolutionary diagnostic device. The Research Scientist will lead problem-solving activities involving assay development,reagent manufacturing, and improving product performance. They will possess the project management and technical capacity to develop experimental hypotheses, design and perform experiments, analyze data sets, and present to key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize novel protein-based and nucleic acid-based assays on QDTI’s quantum-powered detection platform.
  • Lead biomarker assay discovery and development objectives in neurology, cardiovascular and immuno-oncology related clinical fields.
  • Help manage strategic projects and collaborations with academic and industry-based players in conjunction with business team members.
  • Collaborate with multifunctional teams (physics, biology, business, and engineering) related to launching QDTI’s instrument and assay system.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Molecular Biology,Immunology, Cellular Biology or related field and 5+ years relevant industry experience,
  • Extensive hands-on experience in assay development and validation, including immunoassays, ELISAs, (q)PCR, western blotting, and protein chemistry assays.
  • Experience with bead-based assay development as well as bead conjugation a significant plus.
  • Demonstrated excellence in managing projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills.
  • Passion for technology and a desire to create innovative tools a must.
